The Artist’s Story…

Rich Moore has been blessed to be in the art field for over 40 years. His art journey began back in high school while attending the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts scholarship program which was a catalyst for more formal training in college. Soon after, he became a commercial graphic designer which led to having his own graphic design firm for over 20 years. Then in 2014, the LORD brought him back to his original love of fine art through painting and so his livelihood continued with that focus. As a distinctive and unique landscape oil painter, with a particular interest in cloudscapes, Rich’s desire and joy is to capture and proclaim the strength and beauty of the LORD’s creation through bold, simplified brush stokes with a soothing, soft pastel palette.

For many years, Rich’s paintings have been juried, selected and exhibited at the Art League Gallery (Torpedo Factory) in Alexandria, Virginia. He also just partnered with Nepenthe Gallery, Alexandria, Virginia and featured his works starting November 6th, 2025.

On a personal note, Rich wants to live out the gift of his Christian faith by coming along side and helping others in his community. His wife Stacey of 36 years, also shares in that joy! Rich is a father of 2, grandfather of 3, a sports fan, and hiking enthusiast! Thank you!
